| i heard kat at the end of an episode of the united states of tara, (which is amazing!) and her song lucky caught my ear immediately. |

| soulful and kittenish, she draws you in with the nuances of the many textures of her delicate voice. her album, take to the sky, is an eclectic collection of songs i love, and she breathes new life into the jazz genre; holding true to old traditions while making this musical style current. |

yes!! i met kat during her performance at sxsw 2009 right after her album came out. she is simply wonderful and with such an incredible talent. not to mention her band. they are so rad and exceptionally nice. i am happy to catch them around austin every couple of months. it’s been such a joy to watch them grow as more people like you get to know them. thank you for posting this…the world needs to know!
